About Boating Safely

This is our newest offering that covers the fundamentals of boating.  The course is designed for skippers and crew of all types of watercraft.  It is a condensed version of Boating Skills and Seamanship.  The course material covers:

 

-  General information about boats

-  Trailering, fueling and maintaining your boat

-  Navigation rules

-  How to operate your boat safely

-  Laws and regulations to which you must adhere

-  Handling boating emergencies

-  Enjoying water sports with your boat

 

The manual is your textbook and includes extensive diagrams, graphics and boating tips. The book includes information that could come in handy long after you have completed the course.

 

About Boating Safely is recognized by the U.S. Coast Guard and when successfully completed via classroom-based training, would enable you to obtain a NJ State Boating Safety Certificate.
