Boating Classes

Flotilla 21 provides safe boating classes for the public. Our basic boating class is titled "America's Boating Course" (ABC). All students who pass the course are eligible to receive the NJ Boating Safety Certificate. This certificate is required to operate  power boats and PWCs  in the State of New Jersey. This is the certificate that is required by New Jersey's boating safety law.

We also teach a more advanced Basic Coastal Navigation Class. This is a comprehensive course to prepare the boater with the knowledge needed to safely pilot a boat, teaching the art of piloting in coastal waters.

All classes are held at:

USCG Auxiliary Flotilla 21 Headquarters

167 Main St.

Borough Hall Annex

Sayreville, NJ 08872.

The Flotilla Building is the old firehouse that is part of the Sayreville Town Hall complex. Click here to get a map.
